After many hours of brainstorming what we wanted for our new venture, Bob and I decided to offer stylish clothes for the plus-size lady.  We started Stylish Plus Clothes because most affordable, plus-sized clothing is usually "big shirts" and baggy pants with no style at all. Being a plus-sized lady, myself, I like to look good when I go out because it makes feel more confident.  Did you know that 25% of all ladies clothing sold today is plus sized?  That's why it is necessary for us to find nicely styled clothes for you.

I began sewing when I was eight years old.  My Mom was making Barbie doll clothes for me on the sewing machine (bless her!) and I was using the scraps to make my own creations.  Fortunately most of the ladies in my family sewed, embroidered, crocheted, knitted or tatted (made lace).  I continued sewing and won the Singer World Stylemaker contest when I was in eighth grade by making a tailored suit. Throughout the years I have sewn for family members, especially my son, and friends and am now creating my own fashions and selling them to ladies in and around my neighborhood. My fashions are made of soft cloth and are very comfortable. They may show up here on the website - you never know.

During our search for a clothing line, we learned about "Youthful Essentials".  This is a wonderful natural skin care line - it has products for younger skin and more mature skin along with a skin healing gel.  I have been using these products myself and love them!
